We have some strict rules around sales shopping. In the spirit of sustainability, you’d think the two aren’t hugely compatible. In fact you’d be right, but there is a sustainability scale and if you’re trying to do better, you could definitely do worse than indulging in some bargain hunting. Why? Because there are some amazing forever pieces you might have been lusting after for a long time that are finally feasible. You can take the opportunity to clear out your wardrobe, donate some older pieces to charity, then do some considered replacing with pieces you actually ‘need’ (emotional need counts when it comes to sales shopping), and will actually wear/use/love/enjoy.
Herein lies the key; don’t buy anything just because it’s a bargain. It’s not a bargain if you spend your money then never pick it up again, what a waste of a £400 Cecilie Bahnsen frock. Bona fide sales sacrilege.
Here is what the BURO.editors will be buying from some brilliant sales this weekend (or today, since they might sell out soon). If you need some inspiration, keep scrolling.
N.B. Also doubles as a Christmas wishlist, hint hint other halves.

There tends to be something (ironically) vanilla about black trousers, but not THESE ones - anyone would dominate a room in these.
Paco Rabanne chainmail is an overlooked classic and therefore a wardrobe essential.
Bottega Veneta needs no introduction. I’d wear this as both a dress and a cardigan.
Would I ever wear this? Who knows. But do I love it? Completely.
I’d probably slip over on a pile of dead wet leaves wearing these but at least I’d look good doing it.
I love an ironic slogan t-shirt above all else.
