It would be easy to view swimsuits as the sensible relatives of bikinis and be done with it. And that would make sense, if they were all consistently modest and suitable for swimming in. But in spite of their name, some swimsuits weren’t really made for swimming at all, but for posing. It’s not that these swimsuits are necessarily impractical, they’re just too fabulous to be submerged out of sight in any body of water. However active you may intend to be on holiday, sometimes you just buy a swimsuit to be seen in rather than soaked in and that’s fine - especially when a closer inspection of its care label reveals that it’s best avoided anyway. So are you coming for a swim or just sunbathing? We won’t judge you either way.
