Netflix describes its new series Death to 2020 as a "comedy event". Shot in documentary style from a satiric point of view, it tells the story of the global pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the US Presidential election. Black Mirror, because Netflix has joined forces with Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones. From Brooker, who's also known for the BBC's dark comedy series Weekly Wipe and Annual Wipe, you can expect some excellent jokes about the “year we all want to end”, all spliced with archival footage.
The release date is yet to be announced, but Netflix has promised it'll be before the end of the year. Meanwhile, you can watch the trailer below.
