Wes Anderson fans, rejoice! The trailer for the The Royal Tenenbaums director’s latest film, The French Dispatch, has just been released, and yes - it features Timothée Chalamet with fantastic hair. A who’s who of Hollywood, the usual Anderson clan will appear with a few new family members; regulars such as Bill Murray, Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton are joined by Elisabeth Moss, Benicio del Toro and Chalamet. Set in a fictional city in 20th century France, the film follows the publication of an American magazine’s final edition.
Inspired by The New Yorker, of which Anderson is an avid reader, the film is his ode to the journalism industry. The French Dispatch follows Anderson’s usual idiosyncratic style, and will feature all his signature oddities, from dysfunctional relationships, muted mustard tones to futura font.
The film will be released 24th July in the US and 28th August in the UK. If like us you can’t wait, you can just watch the trailer on repeat until then:
