I wish Atelier Cologne was a secret. The scents can best and only be described as distinctive and special, and the rainbow bottles they’re housed in are, no exaggeration, life-enriching. This rose-scented juice in its electric blue diffuser vase is no different. Pouring it feels like alchemy, and catching a whiff makes up for the failed attempts at cultivating a rose climber during lockdown.
It might feel counterintuitive to use something unctuous in this humid (god it is humid!) heat, but hear me out. Not only will it melt every last scrap of your make-up, but dry, sun-stripped skin will drink it up. It being mango butter, fermented pumpkin that’s rich in AHAs - natural exfoliants - and rice water, which soothes and calms. It’s a cleanser and then some.
At any given time my lips are more cracked than the salt flats in Bolivia. The fault lines rupture the second I yawn. I smother them so frequently in any and every emollient I can find, that I'm fostering a repetitive strain injury. And yet, the dryness persists. Until now. This is one of *the* best lip balms I have ever used. It pours hydrating goodness in the cracks, Pollyfilla's them over and makes them look and smell, shiny and sweet.
