Dubai developer Nakheel has just penned a deal with Starwood to open another St. Regis hotel in the emirates, this time on the Palm Jumeirah. Set to open in 2018, St. Regis Dubai — The Palm will be the centrepiece of Palm Tower, Nakheel's 52-storey luxury mixed-use development.
The hotel will have 289 guest rooms, of which 23 are suites. Amenities include various dining outlets, a St. Regis Beach Club, the famed St. Regis Butler Service, a public rooftop viewing deck on the 52nd floor and two swimming pools. One of the pools, located on the 50th floor and offering 360 degree views of the Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline, looks set to be one of the highest infinity pools in the world.
"Palm Jumeirah is a global destination offering the ultimate in luxury living and leisure," said Nakheel Chairman, Ali Rashid Lootah. "Our partnership with Starwood to open a St. Regis on the Palm reinforces what the island is all about: unrivalled, world-class facilities that set new standards for residents and tourists."
The first St. Regis hotel in the city, the St. Regis Dubai located in Al Habtoor City, opened to guests two weeks ago. Inspired by Beaux-Arts architecture from New York's Gilded Age, the hotel's grandeur includes a golden marbel staircase, a collection of coveted artworks and a musical fountain. Guests can enjoy amenities within the hotel like spa treatments as well as gastronomic restaurants.
