It's been 15 years since Versace opened its first hotel on the Gold Coast, Australia and now, the Palazzo Versace Dubai has finally opened its doors. Seven years in the making, this haute hotel is a must-visit. Starting in the lobby, the custom-made marble floors and grand colosseum pillars, set the scene.
Located on the foreshore of the Dubai Creek, the hotel is just minutes away from iconic landmarks including The Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa. Offering 215 rooms, of which 65 are suites personally designed by Donatella Versace, the Palazzo Versace is an exercise in couture hospitality. Bespoke to the smallest detail, guests can also expect to find the signature Versace Medusa scattered subtly throughout the hotel, it's even at the bottom of the main water feature that over looks the creek.
"Versace is a fashion, luxury and lifestyle brand," said Gian Giacomo Ferraris, CEO of Versace. "From its inception, the Versace world included different product categories — from clothing to accessories, from luxury goods to home collections — all capable of showcasing the brand's own exclusive, iconic style."
The Palazzo Versace Dubai though is not just about the Renaissance décor — intricate statues on the driveways, mosaic ceilings and gold-plated decorative elements — it's also about gastronomy in the form of its two restaurants, Vanitas and Giardino. Vanitas follows a Baroque theme where vanity triumphs over all, while Giardino took its décor inspiration from the iconic green Versace dress that Jennifer Lopez famously wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards.
The Palazzo Versace is a place where fashion, gastronomy and period pieces combine, where Versace haute couture is transferred to architecture and then peppered generously with absolutely decadent décor. The result is a hotel that will fast trump the top of travel wish lists.
Palazzo Versace Dubai is located in the heart of Culture Village. For more information visit palazzoversace.ae.
