Almost a year ago, the UAE Cabinet announced 2015 as the Year of Innovation, in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who said, "Today we live in a rapidly changing world, with speedy developments, great opportunities, discoveries and inventions. Hence we must prepare our generations in a manner commensurate with the world in which we live, and ensure us a place among other nations, thus guaranteeing us a bright future such as our present day."

Which brings us to the UAE Innovation Week, a nationwide celebration of innovation. With more than 200 entreprenuers from both the private and public sector breaking boundaries with exploratory exhibitions, competitions, interactive programs, workshops, talks and more, the widespread culture of innovation will be even further ingrained and elevate the nation's status as a global hub for innovation.

During the much-talked-about event there are over 800 activities planned across the Emirates but Buro 24/7 Middle East has zoned in on three must-experience milestones.

1.     Mission: Space at Burj Park on November 24-28.
Mission: Space will focus on space sciences, allowing visitors to imagine how life in space would be like by giving visitors a glimpse into the UAE Space Programme.

2.     ComiQ Expo at the Waterfront Promenade at The Dubai Mall on November 24-28.

You may think it's all just cartoons and comics but look out for the unique UAE-inspired characters, they're one of a kind.

3.     Art Lab at Al Serkal Avenue on November 25-26.

The Art Lab is a gathering of Dubai's creative forces including artists, gallerists and studios, discussing the challenges they face and sharing solutions.

UAE Innovation Week runs from November 22-28. Entrance to most of the events is free of charge. For further details visit uaeinnovates.ae.
