While any correlation to Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP or Martha Stewart may have put Blake Lively in good stead for a successful lifestyle site, the 28-year-old has announced digital story telling just isn't for her. In a statement released on her Preserve website the former Gossip Girl star said: "Everyone has a story to tell. Preserve (just) isn't me."

Blake goes on to explain to her readers, the reasoning behind closing the website, saying: "Sitting down to write this editor’s letter has been the hardest thing I've done yet on my Preserve journey. I’m more intimidated than I should probably admit. I’m no editor, no artisan, no expert. And certainly no arbiter of what you should buy, wear, or eat. I'm comfortable with the knowledge that I'm not a teacher, but rather, a student. I don't do any one thing perfectly. I do a lot of things though. Some well, some not-so-well."

Preserve will be live for another week and is set to close on October 9, 2015.
