In a global review of expat destinations around the world, Bahrain comes in 17th place, beating out all other Middle East destinations. According to the InterNations Expat Insider 2015 survey, the UAE ranks two places behind at number 19 and Oman comes in at number 24, out of the 64 countries included in the survey.
Other Gulf states took less favourable outcomes seeing Qatar placed 54th and Saudi Arabia 61st, with Kuwait coming in dead-last at the bottom of the list.
Heading south west, Ecuador topped the global list of the best places to live abroad with Mexico and Malta taking second and third place.
14,000 respondents formed the results which also saw, Singapore, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Thailand, Panama, Canada, and Australia included in the top 10 expat destinations.
