The 'open secret' is out – Apple will be launching a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in the US and Europe. The tech brand has been in talks with various telecommunications companies, to pin down the right deal and services for it to officially be able to provide its own full mobile telecoms and data service, directly to customers.

The eventual deal will see Apple piggy-back various existing mobile infrastructure, allowing the Apple network to use whichever network has the strongest signal in a given area. Customers will receive the same service that they have come to expect, with data and cellular services all bundled in, but their contract will be directly with Apple.

No deal has been struck just yet, and talks are said to have been bubbling for sometime, as Apple considers the perfect structure to launch its MVNO, so don't go abandoning your current mobile contract just yet. Stay tuned to Buro 24/7 Middle East for the latest on this story as it develops...
