Small talk, strategy sessions or just a nosh at these noteworthy restaurants, selecting where to hold a business lunch can be a wise weekly endeavour. Stake (or should we say steak) your signature on the dotted line at these five flavour-forward hot spots...

La Petite Maison at DIFC

The flag-bearer of French dining in Dubai, is La Petite Maison. The sophisticated go-to is renowened for its atmosphere, and it's French-Mediterranean cuisine. Nosh on French beans with Foie Gras or the grilled lamb cutlets with smoked aubergine are also a delicate delight. Finish your French flavour set with sorbet or the highly-recommended mousse cake.

La Serre Dubai at Vida Downtown Hotel

The new darling of the Dubai food scene is a French experience in every sense; even the menu is unforgivingly without translation. The food is traditional French fare and highly recommended is the quinoa and cauliflower salads as well as the aubergine ravioli. Sadly, privacy is not on the menu, La Serre is a place to see and be seen.

Social by Heinz Beck at Waldorf Astoria, Dubai Palm Jumeirah

This Italian eatery was created by 3-star Michelin Chef, Heinz Beck. The setting is more relaxed yet still remains elegant and the views of the Palm Jumeirah will inspire any business meeting. As for the food, it's a gastronomic delight of tomato and rucola risotto, followed by the tempting tuna tartar and pecorina or perhaps the sea bass in a licorice crust is more your meal?!

Al Mahara at Burj Al Arab

Discussing the dollar with a school of fish sauntering past isn't the worst way to win the day. Renowned for it's seafood, prepared with both Eastern and Western influences, Al Mahara is a seafood serving to savour. Highly recommended for lunch are the poached tsarkaya oysters as well as the alaskan king crab. Then there's that caviar list, which is as impressive as it is expensive.
