For the first time ever, the Dubai International Motor Show will include the Motoring Nostalgia Museum for classic and historically significant cars. These are the cars that have made automotive history and inspired glowing careers in the industry, be it in engineering, designing or crafting.
Loaned from both auto dealers as well as individuals, these cars will add something different to the exhibition and draw in more aficionados. "This new addition to DIMS is going to be something very special," said Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President, Exhibitions and Events Management, Dubai World Trade Centre.
"We are aiming to make it fun, engaging and interactive by showcasing the great eras of the motoring industry that will take our visitors back in time. It opens the Dubai International Motor Show up to a wider audience who are interested in all types of cars regardless of their age. These iconic vehicles are symbols of their generations, as well as unique pieces which represent some of the greatest years of motoring."
The Motoring Nostalgia section will include guided tours, forums as well as demonstrations by master craftsmen in different areas like leather stitching. The exhibition will be open from 6pm to 10pm on November 10; 11am to 10pm on November 11; 11am to 11pm on November 12 and 13; and from 11am to 10pm on November 14. Prices are Dhs65 for single-day entry and includes entry to the Motoring Nostalgia Museum.
