It was just a week ago that the Mercedes GLC hit the GCC shores. Now, big brother the GLE has sauntered in, ready to dominate the mid-size SUV market.

"We expect the GLE to continue the success story of our best-seller and even surpass it. Capable on any terrain, the GLE is the car for customers who want to drive a versatile vehicle with great off-road capability, striking design and premium quality," said Dirk Fetzer, Director of Sales & Marketing at Daimler Middle East & Levant.

Like the GLC, the new GLE is an all-rounder with all the luxuries that can be afforded to it. Nappa leather is standard and the ARTICO man-made leather upholstery not only extends to the five seats, but also to the entire dashboard, centre console, door trim and armrests.

The new GLE is also available in four models, the GLE 400 4MATIC ($US69,500), GLE 500 4MATIC ($US91,900), Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 4MATIC for ($US117,800) and the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC ($US126,100).
