After the 2016 SIHH opening announcement, the annual horological event is now in full swing and Buro 24/7 Middle East puts the spotlight on Richard Mille and its new introductions.

RM67-01 Automatic Extra Flat

Unique in every way, this new timepiece epitomises technical innovation as well as care and attention to detail. Transferring automotive transmission technology into its movement ensures superior chronometric performance. In addition, the gear-like feature on the dial shows exactly the functions when the crown is pulled out, saving you the trouble of guessing whether you're in winding, date or hand setting mode. Couple those with the fact that it takes hundreds of hours to produce a single case and you're left with one of the most time consuming and complex cases created in Switzerland today.

RM 50-02 Tourbillon Split Seconds Chronograph

The RM 50-02 Tourbillon Split Seconds Chronograph is the product of a collaboration between Richard Mille and Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ). Conceptualised by ACJ's own head of design, the watch is created using some of the same materials used in the Airbus and various parts within the movement are coated with a special aeronautical coating. Limited to only 30 pieces, the tourbillon RM 50-02 ACJ combines the world of aeronautics and horology seamlessly in one modern masterpiece.

Richard Mille Mechanical Fountain Pen

Embodying the spirit of horology, this mechanical fountain pen features a movement that is as complex as any in its collection, where 12 jewels power a display of mechanised kinematics, releasing the white gold nib, all protected by a sapphire with anti-glare treatment. Four years of research and development results in a luxury piece that marries technological innovation with a stylish ergonomic design.
