Following Kanye West's last minute entry into New York Fashion Week calendar, the suspense was high as bystanders awaited the big reveal. Much like season 1, Yeezy Season 2 consisted of West's second collaboration with Adidas through a performance conceptualised by Vanesa Beecroft.
Deployed in small military-like units according to skin tone by a model playing the part of drill sergeant, the familiar-looking blonde models progressed from light to dark nude sporting oversized hooded sweatshirts, dusters, baggy sweatpants and shorts in over-dyed broken-in fabrics. Nude bodysuits, leggings and bras made up a majority of the collection, pared with a boot that was rather reminiscent of the classic Sorel Caribou boot.
Filling the front-row at West's Spring/Summer 16 show at the Skylight Modern were Debbie Harry, Lorde, Common, Courtney Love, Seth Meyers, Riccardo Tisci and Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian. Of course the audience would not be complete without West's beloved Kim and North – who sat side by side with Anna Wintour – both decked out head to toe in their own custom nude ensembles, in support of the collection.
For now there is just one official image of the collection, take a look at it above and stay tuned for more...
