Twelve global finalists have been announced for the 2015/16 International Woolmark Prize following competitions around the globe – including the most recent Middle East, India and Pakistan round, which was held in Dubai for the first time ever.

The six menswear designers will will compete in January at Pitti Uomo in Florence, and the six womenswear finalists in New York in February. 

Among the six womenswear finalists is Dubai-based fashion label – Taller Marmo. The other five nominees include J Koo (Asia), Bianca Spender (Australia), Teatum Jones (British Isles), Nanna van Blaaderen (Europe), and Tanya Taylor (U.S.). 

The six menswear nominees are: Munsoo Kwon (Asia); P. Johnson (Australia); Agi & Sam (British Isles), Jonathan Christopher (Europe) Suketdhir (India, Pakistan and Middle East), and Siki Im (U.S.).
