The man who has a reputation as a master of structure and silhouette and who has defined the era of the iconic dress has opened his doors to Dubai, and it's quintessentially Mouret in more ways than one. "You can't be a designer and not concentrate on Dubai as one of the key platforms," confirmed Roland Mouret, days before the opening. "It's not just a door, but an entrance into the market," he continued.
"It's such a real market. They have completely absorbed the European attitude of clothing, the covenants of style. The Middle East is moving forward in the Western world and the Western world is moving forward in the Middle East. It's so fantastic when fashion walks in the same direction."
The newly opened Dubai store, designed by architect Rossa Prendergast, offers the label's luxurious ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear and eyewear collections in a coveted clear box-like location. Here's a sneak peek inside the store...
The Dubai Mall store is the French label's third flagship store worldwide with London and New York being the two other chosen cities on the Roland Mouret map.
