Passers by Ralph Lauren's Fifth Avenue Polo Ralph Lauren flagship boutique are in for a high-tech treat, as the all-American brand unveils a special window installation.
The Polo Ralph Lauren window features two athletes sparring in a ring, but things aren't quite as they seem... "The boxing gloves and lockers are real, but the boxers are not," said David Lauren, executive vice president of global advertising, marketing and corporate communications at Ralph Lauren Corp. "They're holograms. The window literally packs a strong punch."
The window (pictured above) was created in celebration of Polo Sport, a Ralph Lauren collection that has been off the shelves for two decades and relaunches today, along with the brand's pioneering PoloTech smartshirt.
“They’re like ghosts,” said Lauren. “The art of the hologram is incredibly complex. Doing it in a window in broad daylight is unprecedented.”
