John Galliano's vision is pure cutting-edge consumer as he turns the house of Margiela into a fierce fusion of fashion. Drawing on the eclectic energies of Asia and the ladylike silhouettes of a modern day muse, Maison Margiela's Spring/Summer 16 collection is a nod to the one thing that's essential today: wearability.

Deconstructing the looks there was a myriad of inflections that illustrated Galliano's gift to tell a story. One that translates from the runway to our ever so articulated wardrobes. Think Japanese kimonos colourfully combined with tailored sets — officewear on point. Then to juxtapose the direction there were fishnet stockings paired with cling wrap — a play on Galliano's theatrics, no doubt.
