Stomping down the runway in chunky platform sandals and Mary Jane-inspired footwear, the MM6 Maison Margiela Spring/Summer 16 models appeared as though they had stepped out of a futuristic thrift store in clothes that suggested a retro-futuristic feel – aptly set in an East London warehouse, the spring collection looked as if the models were either just leaving or on their way to a warehouse party.

As outlined in the show notes, the collection took its cues from "London and the creative community surrounding MM6," and the beautiful creative chaos that took to the runway, certainly stood by this statement. The London Fashion Week show was idea-packed with airbrushed eagle and horse prints, a dress seemly crafted from a material best described as that of a plastic bag, and full-glitter accents that came in the many forms of gloves, leggings, bralets, and bikini bottoms.
