Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD) is just around the corner and this year's SS16 line-up has been announced promising a packed week of shows, talks and presentations. Highlighting the four-day event is The Sartorialist's Scott Schuman, Global Brand President of M·A·C Cosmetics, Karen Buglisi Weiler and Imran Amed, the Founder and CEO of The Business of Fashion.

 

Speaking about Fashion Forward, which is now in its sixth season, Maitha Al Suwaidi, Head of Business Development at d3, said, "We are delighted to be hosting another set of thought-provoking talks and discussions as part of the d3 Fashion Talks, led by global industry experts and esteemed fashion academia."

Alongside the international heavyweights will be local influencers including Huda and Mona Kattan as well as Khulood Bin Thani, who will be discussing fashion and beauty in the local arena. Then on the runway 33 designers from around the region will be presenting their SS16 collections. 

 

"At d3, we are dedicated to establishing Dubai as a global design hub for the region's creative community and so I am pleased by the number of our local designers that are showcasing their work at Fashion Forward SS16. Our vision is to craft a creative community, which inspires and encourages collaboration, to foster the growth of our design collective."

Hot tickets include Amato, Amber Feroz, Dima Ayad, Taller Marmo, Michael Cinco and the Starch Foundation. Fashion Forward run from October 22-25 at Madinat Jumeirah.
