FarFetch carries on its international quest, by opening up in Australian territory. The e-commerce site has made its first official Australian hire, and has added Melbourne and Adelaide-based boutiques Le Louvre and The New Guard, respectively, to its repertoire.

"Our business model also means that we open these retailers up to a new global audience of shoppers who may never set foot in their physical stores," said Farfetch chief executive officer, José Neves.

Australia is known for its wealth of local design talent, and now many of those designers are available to FarFetch's 180 international locations.
