Ermenegildo Zegna have embarked on a partnership which will see the luxury menswear brand join other marque brands including Prada, Bulgari, Saint Laurent and Gucci under the Al Tayer Group. Speaking out on the new power partnership, Gildo Zegna, CEO of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group said: "Joint venture is an approach we had taken in markets such as Australia and India in the last three years. Plus, a joint venture brings a local dimension to the equation and that's important."

The flagship 350sqm store at Mall of the Emirates reopened recently after undergoing a redesign by Peter Marino. While clothes had been the brand's staple, accessories have increasingly found its way into the portfolio too. "Accessories have done a good job in Asia. They're not quite there yet in the Middle East, but the expansion of the points-of-sale presence will drive numbers," Zegna added.

The UAE remains under close watch by Zegna and with big expansions, new developments and of course Expo 2020, we might just see the brand increase its presence here.
