For Spring/Summer 16 a relaxed and casual attitude overtook the Emporio Armani runway at Milan Fashion Week. A perfect depiction of the show notes, which promised "Summer Breeze" conveyed through "moving lines and "subtle casualness", Giorgio Armani opened the show with a grey pantsuit worn with a pale pink cropped top with a smiley emoji on it, giving the first hint that something new was in store.
The collection came waltzing out onto an illuminated path in a soft palette of grey and pink. Carrying out the youthful spirit that started the show, easy tailoring appeared in the relaxed silhouettes of blazers, trousers and Bermuda shorts.
Moving away from his typically greige palette, pink played a major role in this collection adding a soft feminine touch to otherwise masculine silhouettes, later giving way to earthier tones in browns and blues that lent themselves well to the casualness of the collection.
Armani's subtle casualness was carried throughout the show by way of floral appliqués and prints, relaxed cuts, tonal colour combinations. Take a closer look at the collection in full via our gallery below...
