After 14 years at the helm of one of Paris' most influential design house, Alber Elbaz has bowed out at Lanvin. It was announced today that the designer will leave the brand immediately and reports suggest that his team were only informed of the decision this morning before being officially addressed on the issue this afternoon in Paris.
Update: Less than 24 hours after Alber's dismissal from Lanvin hit headlines, the company released this statement saying, "Today the House of Lanvin has ended its collaboration with Alber Elbaz. We would like to thank him for the chapter he has written in the House's 125 year history. The House of Lanvin confirms the implementation of its corporate strategic plan to continue making the oldest of the Parisian fashion houses, the Ambassador of French luxury's excellence, in the independent spirit of its founder Jeanne Lanvin."
