As part of its new BoF Education section, the Business of Fashion (BoF) recently released its 'Global Fashion School Rankings' providing a Forbes style grading of the world's best known fashion teaching institutes that sees London's Central St. Martins top the list.

Compiled using "60 different data points gathered from 24 participating institutions, surveys completed by 4,032 students and alumni, feedback from 88 HR professionals and global fashion influencers," the list also used the over-all international reputation as well as the career prospects and readiness of its graduates among other criteria.

Following the the number one spot, which counts the likes of Stella McCartney, John Galliano, and Alexander McQueen among its alumni, is Tokyo's Bunka Fashion College followed by Kingston University. Then it's over to New York to top off the top five with Parsons The New School of Fashion and Fashion Institute of Technology taking fourth and fifth place respectively.
