It has been a packed year for Alexander Wang, as he celebrates a decade of his eponymous label with a variety of charitable collaborations, furniture collections and a move away from his post at Balenciaga. It was all eyes on the new Spring/Summer 16 collection, to see how the designer would mark the occasion and what it might signify for the future of the label.

However, Wang seemed to be unfazed by all of these landmark expectations and focussed his efforts squarely on an authentic expression of how he and his friends dress and wish to dress, day-to-day. His men's and womenswear offerings composed of jet black boiler suits and cut out silk pyjama shirts, in a display of cool casual with that Wang edge.

Midriffs were on display in cropped-tops paired with trousers and skirts and racing necklines made dresses feel more relaxed, in balance with some sweet lacy crochet details. It wouldn't be a Wang collection without a dose of black and leather, and we were not let down by the black leather dress that finished the show, with a racer neckline, and patterned black stitching and fringed sides, which ran from top to bottom. A show highlight.
