Greubel Forsey's Stephen Forsey kicked off Dubai Watch Week with an in-depth discussion on the art of watchmaking. Just over ten years ago in 2004, the watch afficainado launched the now coveted collection and they've since gone on to develop 17 different calibres. The over arching question that launched the collection: "Was there interest in the mechanical watch?" Absolutely says Stephen, who leads the technical division of the international brand. "It's important to be able to master the realiabilty of a watch."
The talented timepiece creator went on to say: "We want to perpetuate traditional finish with new ideas. We want to bring a natural balance to our creations."
Talking in detail on the Tourbillon 24 Secondes Vision, which took 3.5 years to make, Stephen says: "Nothing is what it seems at first sight. A beautiful object is the sum of many details. We push ourselves to make the very best product that we can." Only 22 pieces in white gold will be made worldwide and only two pieces will be available for purchase in the Middle East.
Greubel Forsey's Tourbillon 24 Secondes Vision is avialable to view at the Dubai Watch Week exhibition October 18-22, 2015.
