Brazilian beachwear staple, Havaianas, have tapped creative footwear designer, Charlotte Dellal, the woman behind – Charlotte Olympia – to create a limited capsule range of flip-flops. Set to drop during Milan Fashion Week, Dellal will apply her joyful design flair to three different sandals and a beach towel.
Priced from $55 – $115, 'Kitty' is a slim, black flip-flop in gold-cat motif; 'Charlotte's Web' is a blush pink design with a web pattern and gold spiderweb details, and 'Bruce' is a red number featuring regal leopard mascot and the towel is woven with images of Fifties-style pin-up girls.
The collection will be available at the flagship Havaianas store in Sao Paulo as well as at Charlotte Olympia boutiques and the website.
In more Charlotte Olympia news, Dellal has announced the launch of a new fashion fund at London College of Fashion. The value of the fund has not been disclosed, but it is set to be the first footwear scholarship initiative to launch as part of the BFC Education Foundation, for the school. The recipient will also land a coveted paid scholarship at Charlotte Olympia.
