Those in the know shop seasons ahead to stay, well, ahead of the crowd, but if you’re a bit late to the party we won’t tell. Spring is all about the seventies, from wide-legged trousers to ruffled dresses. Think floaty and pretty in a midi length and you’re sorted through summer. Trousers-wise, it’s all about textured fabrics and lace-up side detailing, seen at Tibi. But steer clear if you’re not sample size.
Sticking with the seventies vibe, now’s the time to start knitting or hit the stores for something in crochet. Cream is a safe bet and Chloe do pretty pastel alternatives. Lace is also worth looking out for, especially in white.
For something a bit less timeless, but no less desirable, look out for shredded hems or fringing. Proenza Schouler’s fringed midi dress is the pick of the pack. You’re welcome.
