I ntroducing Bedouin, a London-based, Dubai-influenced ready-to-wear label, which recently presented its Spring/Summer '16 collection at Dubai's Fashion Forward.
The up-and-coming brand, which is already proving popular with the Middle Eastern fash pack, is designed by Andraya Farrag, a 2012 Central Saint Martins graduate, who's final collection was one of very few to be selected for the renowned Central Saint Martins international press show. After her graduation Andrya went on to work for some of the world's most renowned brands including Marchesa, Matthew Williamson and Edun. With the job came travel, living in New York, India, London and Dubai, which has now become the main source of inspiration behind her brand.
Fast forward to January 2014 and Bedouin was born. The latest Spring/Summer '16 collection is a fusion of cultures and contrast, which takes its inspiration from the beauty of South American nomadic lifestyle: "I was captivated by the indigenous tribes of Mexico, most notably the Aztecs, which channels throughout this collection. In true Bedouin fashion, the traditional techniques are reworked to create our up-to-date interpretation," expressed Andraya.
It's perfect for a long summer evening whether you're in Mexico City, London, Stockholm, Dubai or Singapore.
