Celebrating her 26th birthday on December 13, Taylor Swift has dropped some serious news: She's announced plans to release a concert film, The 1989 World Tour Live on Apple Music. Posting on Instagram, the singer thanked everyone for the birthday wishes and added, "I have a little surprise for you", referring to the film directed by Jonas Akerlund.
According to the website, the documentary will feature, "never seen footage filmed backstage and during rehearsals with surprise musical and special guests that appeared on The 1989 World Tour". Some of the musical guests featured in her tour include Justin Timberlake, Mick Jagger, Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding.
To amp up the anticipation, Swift released a teaser trailer of the film that was shot in front of 76,000 fans in Sydney, Australia on November 28, 2015.
With Swift announcing the partnership exclusively with Apple, it seems the singer may now be open to doing business with the tech giant's music streaming division after previously criticising it for royalty issues.
The 1989 World Tour Live is set for release on December 20, 2015, on Apple Music.
