Legendary film producer Martin Scorsese has confirmed that he will produce a film about the history of Rolls-Royce, the epitome in luxury automotive today. The film, titled Silver Ghost, will be co-produced by Anthony Haas and directed by acclaimed director Asif Kapadia, an Oscar nominee at this year's awards for his work on Amy. Silver Ghost will document the origins of the car manufacturing giant by putting the spotlight on its founders Charles Rolls and Henry Royce.

"What struck me when I read Silver Ghost was how this true story weaves together the lives of five remarkable people that changed the destiny of the Western world and I am delighted to be working together with the legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese and Anthony Haas to bring it to the screen," said Kapadia.

Kapadia is no stranger to automotive films given his brilliant documentary work on Sennathough it's been reported that this new project will be narrative-based. "It's a project that requires a great and innovative storyteller, and that's exactly what we have with Asif Kapadia," said Scorsese.
