Miu Miu likes to be different, a rebel of sorts, and its first ever perfume is testament to that ideology. Just one look at the bottle and you know that it's all about breaking the rules. In a business filled with classy and sophisticated designs, the Miu Miu fragrance certainly stands out as fun and light-hearted. The bright blue body of the bottle, with the brand's signature matelassé design is juxtaposed against the bright red cap.

The fragrance itself took a staggering 1200 tries to get it perfect and perfumer Daniela Andrier went for stark contrast — a combination of both earthy and floral scents. Notes of lilies, jasmine and roses intricately combine with wood, pepper and an extract of patchouli. The result is a scent which is distinct yet undefineable, a nod to the brand's ethos.

Fronting the fragrance is French-English actress Stacy Martin, who was choosen because of her knack to pick risky and unconventional roles, a move which seems to align with Miu Miu.

The Miu Miu 30ml perfume (AED245) is only available in Miu Miu stores with the 50ml (AED360) and 100ml bottles (AED480) available at Sephora, Debenhams and Paris Gallery.
