S he's a supermodel, mother-of-two and the face of Marc Jacobs' new fresh fragrance, Decandence. Speaking exclusively to Buro 24/7 Middle East Adriana opens up about her campaign shoot for the scent, her skincare secrets, and how running around after her children keeps her in shape...
You've recently been in Dubai to launch the Marc Jacobs Decadence fragrance... What do you love most about the city?
I love this city, I connect with it because it's like my hometown, the weather is always warm and the people have been so welcoming. I feel comfortable here.
Tell us about your collaboration with Marc Jacobs and what do you think of the scent...
Shooting the campaign was a great experience. There was sexy mood lighting, I was wearing a silky black Marc Jacobs dress, and there were beautiful flowers next to vintage fragrance bottles. It felt vintage and modern at the same time. It was very decadent!
What I love most about the fragrance is how much thought and care Marc put into creating it. From the bottle, to the fragrance, to the name, everything he touches is so incredible.
What does it mean to you to be the face of the Marc Jacobs perfume?
To me, Marc Jacobs means modern, cool, and glamorous with an edge. I've been a fan of Marc and all of his fragrances and designs for many years. It is a true honour to be the face of Decadence.
What's your beauty routine to keep your appearance so flawless?
I believe that washing your face first thing in the morning and at night are very important. I like to use oils to moisturise my skin and then the rest depends on what I'm doing. If I'm attending an event or working, I wear more make-up and play up either the eyes with a smoky eye or the lips with a strong red. If it's a regular day running around after my kids and running errands, I wear lip balm and mascara.
What was the secret to your baby body bounce-back?
Cardio. I do a lot of moves in boxing where my core is important and gets a workout. Running, burpees, push-ups, and bicycles are all part of my routine and help me maintain a defined core.
With perfumes, do you have a way to layer them? Or do you pick a different scent depending on the occasion?
When selecting a fragrance, I look for something that not only makes me enjoy the smell but also makes me feel some type of emotion like sexy and playful or sweet and angelic.
Marc Jacobs Decadence is on cosmetic counters across the Middle East now.
